Any news on Tier I?
« on: January 05, 2017, 01:05:25 PM »
While all of us spread news on the AA's, anyone know what's going on at the 16U and 15U AAA levels? Thoughts on perhaps the Wave (2) trying to go AAA next season since they are tearing up AA?  I hear they are mostly, if not all, '01s.

I wouldn't say tear it up but they are doing very well. They are for sure in the running for a trip to Nationals. They are a mix of 00-01-02's on the team. I believe there are about 5 teams that can take it all in AA this year.

Congratulations to the JK 15U AAA Club and the JD 16UAAA Clubs for winning their respective State Championships!  I heard that both teams had triple overtime victories this weekend!  Wow!

My nephew is great friends with a lot of the boys on that team and he was told by their captain that they have 2-2000's, 15-2001's and 2-2002's so mostly a minor team.

According to the CAHA website, the Wave will not have be able to have any Tier 1 teams. Looks like the teams have already been decided.

One of the Wave parents told me that the team voted to stay Tier II and go for the National crown next season, while saving a lot of money.  Scuttlebutt is that SCAHA/CAHA are going back to the old format so many more games for far less money!  Unfortunately, Tier I teams have to travel a lot to get decent competition, though, a couple of new clubs next year.  What's up with GSE and Sharks? GSE this season and Sharks next??????

Hey!  I just heard that the JK won without their superstar goalie?  I just heard he played "up" this year and will be playing Juniors next year.  Wow!  Even more surprising.
