Wave 3 & Playoffs

Does anyone know what happened with the Wave 3 as far as being allowed to play in the playoffs?  Are they going to be allowed to play or not?

I haven't been on here for a long time. I don't know if there has ever been a more melodramatic kids hockey season – outside of Québec, where this stuff is business as usual - then Wave 3 v the universe.

All I can tell you is it ain't over. Two more regular season games, SCAHA playoffs, injuries, heartbreak and histrionics.

SCAHA finals are March 25-26 at Toyota Center. The irony of that will be lost on no one.


Closet Wave 3 fans are welcome to pack a tuna sandwich and watch.

Are you saying that Wave3 is eligible for the playoffs?  Score sheet bingo worked?  I am asking because I honestly don't know.

I understand that there has been Quebec drama in past years, but from all accounts this year was quite drama-free.

That is the question, and I'm sorry I can't give you a definitive answer.


There are two reg season games left, then playoffs.

I think the scoresheet bingo was being played on PWAA Wave team. Only issue I've heard re: Wave 3 was the PDR situation which resulted in their drop to A. Believe they had option to stay AA but not be playoff eligible. So would think if they accepted the "penalty" they would be eligible for playoff at A level. Of course, rules are created with so much "grey" area it's hard to predict what the final decision by the "decision-makers" might be!

Wave 3 beat the spunky Mariners 8-0 yesterday, shots were 45-3. Mariners' goalie was terrific and their team worked hard.


Wave 3 scored their 100th goal of the season (10 against) in their 14th game and maintain a 1 point lead over OCHC 1 who beat Bears 5-3 yesterday.

I don't know of a rule that would keep them out.  PDR for A is only 25%

Was it a PDR issue or block recruitment issue that led to the drop from AA to A?

As far as I know.. they are in.     They are on the schedule to be playing against my son's team this weekend.

What is the latest with these kids?  After MT ledt for kings and KC gets suspended where are they all playing next season?  A bunch of them were seen at Jr Ducks clinic last night.
