Gulls, get to a Canadian tournament STAT.   

Not sure this changes anything.  The Kings hadn't proven anything yet.  I predicted a Gulls win, if you have seen any games it is not a surprise.  Gulls are a tough team.

Hey "just Saying" - not sure I understand your comment. Going to Canada for a tournament isn't about proving a team is the "top."  It's about experiences. Btw - it many cases it's cheaper to play in Canada than the US. The bonus is some "poutine" for the gravy and cheese lovers!  Seriously - Gulls are a good strong 06 team. After the first period (4 to 0) it was a pretty even.  Nice to see the little 07s working hard. Should be interesting to see the rematch. It's going to be a great year for all the squirt A teams. They are all going to get better thanks to good competition. Shows how far Cali hockey has come. I remember just a few years ago when squirt a had one or two competitive teams. The rest were gong shows!

I was just teasing. I'd love to go to Canada. Bet it was fun. Gulls are obviously rough. Should make for a good rematch now that you know what to expect.

A few times kids on Runtso Ducks were on the ice in pain and the refs did not blow the whistle, let them play because EK Ducks had possession.  Both times Runtso Ducks coaches were going ballistic, one time a coach threw a clipboard onto the ice to get the refs attention, not near any kids and the coach got a bench minor, and the other time a coach was trying to run onto the ice but ref did not let him.

It was an odd game, the EK Ducks were on the powerplay most of the third period and had 2 5-on-3s.  Also EK Ducks pulled their goalie several times in the third period (with more than 8 minutes left).  Ducks Runtso scored one empty net goal, EK Ducks got one goal while the goalie was pulled.

It was certainly an entertaining game.

Referee related?  Figured as much..  Minor penalty for throwing clipboard on ice sounds like incompetence at its finest!

Agreed that Squirt A should be entertaining all year. 

Just hope the officials are competent enough to let the athletes compete, coaches coach (from their designated bench) & parents cheer from the bleachers.
