What's the deal with the 18U Teams?   It appears that there are fewer now than before.

hockey72:
For AA, I only know of the Flyers not being able to put an 18AA team together. What other club couldn’t pull together an 18AA team that had one last year? For AAA, I think one or two teams from last year decided to not have AAA but not positive.

xcite10:
I heard OC was light..  SD was trying to put together an 18AA team that would compete in AAA tourneys but were a few kids short.  Empire decided against an 18AAA team.  18AAA Reign still had some spots.  Pats was able to field a 18AAA but not sure how they were going to do at the AA level..

BladesofSteel66:
They are trying to keep midgets from leaving CA....  So they handed out 10 AAA teams at 18U.
No one wanted em.  Couldn't field a team.  No where near enough to go around for that many 18U AAA.  CAHA and the entire board is a Rosegarden of trash.

There are two unbreakable truths in this world

1) Actors never move to Detroit to become a movie star
2) Hockey players never move to Hollywood to make in the NHL

No amount of money or new ideas are going to change that equation.    Lesson is focus on what you got, and be great at it, and stop wishing for what you are not.
