2017-18 will be a 25% PDR for 16U

Thanks for the reply. Do you know why they are changing it up from the Jan. 23, 2016 requirements? Is CAHA realizing that their requirements are to difficult for most clubs?

I don't know as I didn't ask, but my guess would be the shit storm that came about from the last requirement.

is this only for tier I? or also for tier II?

I must apologize. I read the question as 16AA, not AAA. I don't know if AAA is 25%. I may have given out bad information. AA is 25%.

CAHA posted new 2017 rules on their website. One of the rules is 25% PDR for AAA/AA/A.

thanks for the info.

Didn't CAHA increase 2016-2017's PDR from 25 percent to 50 percent? If so, why are they backtracking to 25 percent again for 2017-2018?
Heard CAHA raised it to 50 percent to make clubs develop their own players and stop grabbing other club's players.

Too many complaints and rumor has it that the clubs that wanted the 50% rule were the ones that needed exceptions to fill their teams for 2016/17.

It is just like passing any regulation. The powers that be pass it to regulate this sector from doing that and the unintended consequences is it screws another sector.
