Does anyone know why the mariners 18s are not at playdowns?

While at the Vacaville rink Friday night, I was informed that the Mariners told CAHA that they didn't have enough players to compete in the Playdowns.

I had heard that they had plyers on high school teams with games this weekend and wanted to play for their high school teams instead of going up north to the playdowns. Not sure how true that is though.

The was the story I heard at the rink as well.
