anyone see the post ....in the "club hosted events" section re the mariners selects?  sounds like what we should have in CA if we didn't have CAHA.  Anyone know more about it?

Tough year for some of the '01s with not enough room on the U18 Tier I clubs.  A few went off to prep school.  A few others off to juniors.  Probably just the JK and JD show again.  Anyone have any predictions?

Looks like the Kings 15U stole JD's lunch money...again.  Wonder what it is about the JD organization that can't keep their top players from leaving.  Greener pastures?

Used to be the other way around....It got so bad, JK players had to sign an agreement not to jump ship to the JD.

No shit?  That's crazy.  Wonder if it's a pendulum.  Didn't help the JDs when the Kings swept the T1 field last season.

I think it's been particularly true that the JD lose players in the 03 birth year. Supposedly a handful of 03s are joining some of the 02s from the Kings and forming a 16AAA team under Turcotte. The 03s from the Kings that don't make that team and play on the 15s would still be a very talented group. If you are one of the stronger 03s on the JD, a team that hasn't really had much success, it would be an easy choice to join the Kings 15 AAA.

Not saying its a factor yet, but the JD systems shifts toward Southern Irvine next year.  Great facilities will be a treat but it's getting to be a stretch for the "flex" players from LA and North.   Then add the coming 405 multi-year lane expansion construction cycle from Westminster to Costa Mesa and you have some real challenges.

I understand that two of the ex-JDs are making the drive from Palm Desert area to El Segundo.  That's a stretch...

Rub one out?! Really?  ... One of these 2 desert kids just got drafted in the WHL Bantam draft by Kamloops after a great combine... Only up in El Segundo in Spring
for clinics, as an fyi.

Saw their names on the roster after tryouts, so yeah, unless one or both have relocated closer...or decided not to sign the LOI.

Which JK team?  Know Storr likes to offer kids who don't show up for "tryouts."

It's the 15U AAA Kings coached by Modry

So Kings AAA at 16u takes some minor kids?  Is that just awesome talent or so many kids have moved away or both?

didn't the remaining superstar 03s take over?  leading to many of the incumbent 02s to find greener pastures?

wasn't the 02s one of the weakest birth year for the kings for the longest time?  It makes sense to let the best players play regardless of age, now that they are midgets since puberty and checking have more or less reached equilibrium after bantams.

The problem with 02 Jr Kings AAA  wasn't the lack of talent, more with who had taken charge of the team.  The 02 myth of lack of talent was just that myth.
