Midget Hockey / Re: what killed this board?
« Last post by Ice-o-Matic on March 28, 2023, 06:41:03 PM »

I was looking on the stats for this forum -- there are participation stats for back to 2010. The high year in number of posts was 2012 with 8,124 posts for all hockey/age levels. In 2019 there were 2,031. As late as 2017 there were 5,447. In 2022, there were 134 total posts -- for ALL age levels and ALL topics. I doubt it has anything to do with "junior isn't going to make the NHL." Seems like people are just not feeling it.

Congrats to the Pats on taking States.

The most annoying, Karen like parents and coach I have ever come across.  Without saying it, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Hope I didn't offend anyone.....fuck it ! I don't give a shit !

Agreed, youth hockey was awsome for my family.   Last few years have been a toll.

Plus, no one talks shit back on this thread anymore.  People are afraid to offend someone.  FUCK UP !
It was always in fun.

No conferences for play-in weekend. So teams with 2 wins advance regardless of which conference they started in. I would assume Goldrush & Kings 2 both go 2-0 & advance. Then the remaining soots try best fat burner for men will be Kings1 v Flyers2 & then Oilers v Wave2 for the remaining 2 spots. My guess would be:

Goldrush
Kings 1
Kings 2
Oilers
Are these type of conferences discontinued now?

Hockey Guy 99...   Not sensative at all.   I take life in perspective and choose to be humble.

Hockey Guy -99   "Thats a very COCKY response"   I wish your little Gretzky the very best!

Really!  You didn't appreciate that post at all? You may fall under the category of people that got too sensitive.  Personally, I thought that was one the funnier things I've written in a bit.  I guess I can only assume you've spent too much time around that in reality to find the humor in it anymore.

By midgets, most parents and kids are over it...many delusional parents finally see that their kid is not going anywhere in the sport.  Some still clinging to the dream, but most get tired of the grind.
that makes sense, but where are all the squirt, peewee and bantam parents? weird
