You should get your Team mgr to put in an official complaint.

With that said, at many clubs the coaching at the Mite level is full of volunteers.  That's not an excuse for running a bad mite event, without the proper equipment that all the clubs are expected to have now, but it might explain an anomoly.  Either way, you need to make the official complaint so they'll clean up their act.

Anyone know how a Mite playoff will work if they do not keep score?  Will it be word of mouth like the AA tier system?  Will this be early training for us adults to grow up into evaluators when we get to the PeeWee AA level?

Last year Lakewood Ducks and Goldrush walked through everyone.  Valencia was really good too.  I see Valencia won in LA and Goldrush won their Labor Day tourneys.  Any other teams making noise this season?

Anyone playing in a tournament this holiday? We're playing in Valencia but it looks like not many entries there or in El Segundo. Maybe lots of people out of town?

Looks like all the Mite tournaments are falling apart this Xmas.  SCAHA minutes say there is an "end of year" Mite tournament MLK weekend but I think the league may have forgot about that as we all play a jamboree MLK weekend.  I'm assuming they are scratching that idea.

Local tournament participation is definitely down this year during the end of year holidays. I like the idea of the full ice hockey tournament at KHS especially for the 2010’s. It appears Mammoth has a good grouping of teams also.

What mite teams are signed up at KHS?  I see you can sign up as an individual.

Empire and Ducks have teams participating along with the Ice Dogs Mite B team. I believe there is another team of individuals they are forming as well.

Did anyone go to the western brick skate over the holidays?  How did it look?

The 2019 End of Season Jamboree will be held at Iceplex - Simi Valley in Simi Valley, CA on March 2nd-3rd.

[/size]The schedule came out this evening. Should be interesting to see how it goes. Keeping expectations at a minimum.

Simi Valley with games starting at 7:15am?.  Why is SCAHA torturing these mite parents?

I wonder how they determined who plays who since they do not keep track of scores and wins all year?  Did they get drawn out of the sorting hat like in Harry Potter?

SCAHA did a pretty good job setting up this tourney I thought.  I liked seeing them hire refs with evaluators there as they were actually reffing hockey games and calling penalties and creating 50/50 battles.  Too bad it's not like that all year.  Brackets seemed to be set up well too.

The Ice Dog team that won played very strong and spread the puck around quite well.  It's nice seeing a group of 8 year olds that are all passing passing pucks.  It's just fun to watch.
