PW AA 2020-2021
« on: August 11, 2020, 05:49:43 AM »
Well... here we are staring ahead wondering what the PW AA 2020-2021 season holds for us all. Please post anything related to PW AA hockey this year... Will we have a hockey season? When will it begin? Which Clubs are likely to be strong (realizing forming teams is another question)? Any tournament travel on the horizon? And how is everyone enjoying being a 'free agent' right now? Thoughts on how to keep our kids' development plans moving forward while navigating all of this chaos? Let's all get our heads together and kick this thread off in style!

Does anyone know how many So-Cal teams are playing in the upcoming CCM tourney in Denver Sept 18-20?

Did TSC get shut down for longer? Is that going to happen to more rinks?
Games in California this season seems doubtful.

Probably every division will be filled with CA teams in all age groups! lol

Yes, TCS did get shut down again.  I believe Mayor Garcetti has said there are no indoor sports allowed. I could be wrong but i believe that is the reason this time around.

Actually, Garcetti is the mayor of the City of Los Angeles. Drew Boyles is the mayor of El Segundo. Although we hear about him all the time in the news, Garcetti is only a mayor in his own city. He has absolutely zero authority in El Segundo.

The closure at TSC is most likely due to the LA County (not City) Department of Health. It is interesting, however, they will allow professionals to train at TSC but nobody else.

And just around the corner from KHS we have this:

It took only 6 months to kill the 16 year businesses.  Hopefully they can come back 6 months after this is all over.

So are people signing LOI's or is everyone still in a holding pattern? It doesn't look like much Sanctioned hockey on the horizon.
