Goalie_dad, do you have the lines for the NHL World Cup games this weekend.

I need to see the Gulls and Ducks rosters.  The other teams are clear who is on the roster.  Once I see the rosters for those two teams I will have lines for the weekend.

Need to update scores from last weekend so I can update rankings as needed, should do that by Wednesday.

Jr Gulls made no changes to the roster for Thanksgiving and will be the same for all tournaments.   8)

The Jr Gulls roster I need to see is the 2007 roster for the NHL Cup tournament this weekend.  Do the Gulls have an '07 SQ BB team?  My understanding is the SQA team is mostly '06s.

I remember playing the Gulls 07 team that was in Squirt B as we were in BB last year for their Spring Tournament.  There are a couple of players from that team playing in A currently.  Is that 07 team together or dispersed among levels?

Unless some birth certificates can be doctored, I'm guessing Jr. Kings will be pretty heavy favorites this weekend.

Dallas is strong as well, my early prediction is Kings v. Dallas in final.  Like I said, depends on the rosters for Ducks and Gulls but not likely to change the final.

Predictions ....

Jr Gulls no chance last place
San Jose finish 5th
Phoenix 4th
Jr Ducks 3rd ducks bringing in BB players and Wave looks like a cluster no big 06 to push the physical pace

Dallas vs Jr Kings in the Finals

I'll take Jr. Kings for the win... and Ducks finishing ahead of Gulls. While they'll be a mishmash of players, Ducks will have speed and aggression in spades... and that'll make up for their unfamiliarity.

I think Dallas/Kings could go either way, it will be close.

As far as Ducks, I just don't know who is playing to pick them over the Gulls.

In the past has the winner from the East played the winner of the West?

Don't think so.

As for the Gulls, most of those kids on the SQWA team are 06, which means most their kids on 07 team will be BB, while most Ducks will be SQWA (including Wave ringers). Gulls won't be able to hang with the speed and skill over the whole game. You know how it goes. Could be wrong, but some of those 07 Ducks can really skate.

The NHL Cup site has a roster for Gulls.

Well, that's their entire SQWA team. Pretty sure they're not all 07... but if they're playing, they'll roll.

So who enters a mostly 06 team (Jr. Gulls) into an 07 tournament?  Isn't there an 06 one in Dallas?  I wonder if that's why there is not playoff or championship?

Perhaps they were asked to play since there aren't that many teams in the West? And, if I'm not mistaken, the Gulls are an AHL team... so them being there doesn't even make sense to begin. Their 07 BB teams wouldn't be competitive, so perhaps they figured "what the heck."

And to be fair, the Jr. Kings did just sent their PWAA 06/05 team to the Drew Doughty London Jr Knights tournament and put them in the 06 Major division... even though half their team are 05s.
