we should make the 06's wear 10lb weight vests

Don't worry, the 06s still playing SQWA already skate like they're wearing 10lb weight vests.  :o

It absolutely amazes me to listen to adults ramble on about 9 and 10 year old kids, when it is likely that most if not ALL of you have never played a sport past high school or perhaps never even made a varsity team in their lives.  I can assure that I have played the sport at a much higher level than anyone in this discussion and I would never talk about young athletes the way you people do.

funny .... have you tried maybe joining a discussion thread that suits more your values? Toughen up .... The simple fact that you are here reading the thread proves that some of these conversations peeked your curiosity and serves for us arm chair quarterbacks some sort of stress relief and enjoyment and entertainment ..... perhaps you might consider joining this Chicago 2017 Brick thread for more entertainment http://www.network54.com/Forum/755318/thread/1476738815/last-1480567345/2017+Brick+Team

Lighten up Francis - it's called a joke.   I know multiple people that are on here that played college and or pro sports.  Get over yourself. Also does beer league hockey count as playing a sport past high school?

I think half the board wrote "lighten up" at the same time.  :D

If the gulls win the 07 tournament, how do they communicate that to the club?  "Congrats to the 06 Jr. Gulls!"  "Way to take it those 07 kids!"  On another note, word is out regarding the Ducks selection process.  Some very unhappy Duck 07 parents......

I don't have an answer for that.

Whoa!  Tight one in Anaheim. They should keep that '07 Ducks team together.

It wasn't that tight, and I'm a Ducks fan through and through. Unfortunately the Kings dominated the game from the get go. The margin should of been 3. They let in some silly goals. Ducks had to many chiefs and no indians. Unfortunately one of Kings kids got hurt, the Ref blew that call. They should have put that kid out. It was a dangerous play. Hopefully the young man will be ok.

Well, selfish play is to be expected from a team thrown together for a long weekend. But the Ducks lost by a goal and outshot them 21-18. But not tight?

Just Saying, at what point was it tight? At 3-1, 4-2, or when they pulled the goalie and scored while it was 6 on 4? Out shooting a team doesnt matter if you cant aim. Either way the 2007 Brick Team just lost their 1st game to the Kings. Lol but most importantly lets hope the kid is ok. Goalie_dad prediction is still accurate.

Official Hawaiian Gardens Casino line:
12/1/2016   Los Angeles Jr. Kings   Anaheim Jr. Ducks   Los Angeles Jr. Kings v. Anaheim Jr. Ducks   Jr Kings by 3

The line was 3... but the outcome was 1! Seems kinda tight to me... but I wasn't there, so if you say it wasn't as close as it seemed (although aren't SOG "well aimed" by definition?), then I trust you.  Regardless, looks like a good start to the tournament.

I guess the 2007 Brick Team took its 1st loss. Maybe they should reconsider who they really want on that team, cause that experiment sure as hell didn't work. Lol

Wanna talk not tight, look at the stat line for the 03 game. 5-0 Kings... and Kings outshot Ducks 42-6. That Kings team is rough.

I guess the ducks goalie parents got their money's worth. not sure how it shook down but that goalie must have been busy.

I expected better from the Kings.  They have been playing together for a while now and played a "Ducks" team just thrown together in the last few weeks.  "Ducks" obviously have talent but Kings should have won by a few goals at least.
