Looking at the boxscore, the headshot penalty you are referring to happened @ 09:50 of the 2nd
(I would screenshot pic the score sheet, but it has the athletes names on it)
Looks like goalie_dad, I mean TTB & Coach got tossed @ 2:38 & 2:37 of the 2nd.

I'm pretty sure that most parents (even TTB), myself included, would not cheer head contact of any kind

Dude you are nuts, what makes you think I am also TTB (which I am not)?  I would never let my kid play for that coach.

Head shot penalty seemed to be when the agitation on the Ducks' bench and/or stands began to escalate, not necessarily when coach/Tommy got the boot.  That's why I asked Tommy to explain himself, and his coach.  Just wondering what set everyone off.  If you're not used to refs missing calls by now, suggest you shop elsewhere.  Or at least keep your mouth shut and let the kids play.  Chirping the refs that badly only gets you ejected, and embarrasses your kid. 


Also, I did not say that any Ducks parents cheered the head contact (which contact I did not see, BTW, and from what I know of the offending player, he would absolutely never purposely do).  I see where my comment left room for that interpretation, though.

I remember reminders from our Squirt athletes (see what I did there? 👍)
• I'm a 9 or 10 yr old kid
• It's just a game
• Most of the coaches are just volunteers
• The officials are human
• No college scholarships will be handed out today
(Troy Youth Hockey Assoc.)

FYI, this blog is not as anonymous as you think it may be goalie_dad, I mean TTB.  Don't worry, not going to post your child's club, your squirt athletes number or bring up any personal facts about you & your wife's past, actually glad you two are able to work things out.  Yes, travel hockey is a small world.

Also..  Looks like this has the possibility of getting a bit personal.   Makes me uncomfortable.    Keeping it to kids hockey is probably best.. and the discussion about peoples personal lives should probably be left to the private messages.

Goalie Dad...    Very nice on the various tournaments.    I thank you for your research.. I'm sure it takes you longer than 15 minutes to get all of it together.
