I doubt that. The CAHA schedule has already been published for the 1st CAHA weekend. Once games are scheduled, CAHA is unlikely to allow a team to drop. Case in point would be the PWAA SDIA team from a few years back, who after a tough pre-season schedule, informed CAHA they wanted to drop, gave releases to all their players, and resigned everyone for PWA.
CAHA had already created the season schedule, and informed SDIA that their application to drop was denied, and they were obligated to play AA for the duration of the season. If you browse the CAHA rulebook you'll find rules that state that CAHA holds all the cards in regards to teams dropping and can disallow it at their discretion.
